The first match of 2026 for our blended U16 team with Trinity was a hard fought test away against Guildford RFC in the Quins Cup. Half-time saw Guildford edge things with a slender lead of 22-21, but the boys dug deep to turn the momentum their way and take a 22-35 lead.
With just a few minutes to go the Trinity-Warlingham Ba-Baa’s were leading 34-40, but two yellow cards conceded during the game cost them control of the park, and Guildford came back to pip them just prior to the final whistle, 41-40.
A heartbreaking finish, but a performance full of guts and determination, no doubt. Building on the positives will see the team readjust for their next game in the cup, away against Sutton & Epsom (B), KO 11am.
