“Huge well done to all our players at the Guildfordians festival today

It was a challenging start to the day, with illness and injury leaving us stretched, everyone had to dig deep. At times we were literally running from one game straight into the next, but the boys and girls never let their heads drop. Instead, they stepped up, supported each other, and showed real character in the face of adversity. That spirit alone is something to be very proud of.

On the pitch, there were so many positives to take away. We saw lovely straight running, great aggression in contact, and some fantastic rucking that turned the tide in several matches. Each of them played with commitment and determination, showing what it means to be part of this team.

Yes, there are still areas to work on, particularly with our kicking strategy, but that’s the exciting part; we know what to improve, and we’ve got a group of players who are eager to learn and keep getting better.

Most importantly, they represented the club and themselves with pride. Days like today remind us all why we love this game, and why we’re so proud of these young players.”
