U12s Head Coach Tom Bolland, reflections on a very successful 2025/26 for the U12a!
What a season it has been for this U12 squad.
At the start of the year, we spoke about what we wanted to achieve together, not just in terms of results, but in the way we played, trained, supported each other and represented the club. Every single player contributed to that journey.
This season the boys played 22 matches, winning 14, drawing 3 and losing just 5. Those numbers are a reflection of the hard work, commitment and resilience shown week after week, in training and on match days.
But the biggest achievement goes beyond the results. The team grew massively throughout the season - in confidence, skill, teamwork and character. Players backed each other, worked for each other and never stopped improving. That spirit was rewarded with a fantastic achievement: winning the Waterfall Cup.
There were tough games, big moments, muddy mornings and plenty of laughs along the way, but what stood out most was the togetherness of this group. Talent helped us compete, but attitude and character helped us succeed.
We finished off the season with a brilliant tour with the U14s to the Norfolk coast. Lots of fun and laughter from players and parents which capped the season off nicely with a win over Wymondham RFC.
Everyone stepped up and put themselves in contention of this year's awards, but the following were well-deserving of the achievements:
A huge thank you also goes to all the parents and supporters for the commitment throughout the season - the lifts, touchline support and encouragement made a massive difference.
Most importantly, the boys should be proud of what they achieved together as a team. This group has built something special, and the memories from this season will stay with them for a long time. Enjoy the rest, U13s will start soon enough!
