A Superhero Effort from the Warly Family

Warlingham RFC

Katie, Emma and James join forces for an inclusive triathlon with a difference.

A huge well done to Senior Wildcat and U7 coach Katie, together with daughter Emma (U7s) and son James (U11s), who recently took on the Superhero Triathlon, completing a 150m swim, 3km bike and 1km run.

They joined Emma’s cousin Lizzie, an above-knee amputee, for an event designed around accessibility and inclusion in sport, with participants working together as superheroes and sidekicks.

Naturally, the family embraced the theme in full, competing as the brilliantly named “Avengimals”, complete with superhero costumes and some suitably out-there animal puns (Cattain America? Lion Man? Bat Widow? Koal-Loki?)!

A fantastic achievement from Katie, Emma, James and the whole team, and a lovely example of the Warly spirit stretching well beyond the rugby pitch.
