Warlingham started fast, bossing territory and the penalty count (three early, then 10–3 by 17’). Repeated kicks to the corner kept Old Cats under pressure, though a couple of lineout overthrows let them off.
Pressure finally told on 18’: from a lineout drive, the maul splintered and Matt Barnett broke away to score. The conversion drifted wide.
Old Cats’ first real visit to our 22 around the half-hour produced points; clean scrum ball, a hard line from their 12 for 5–7, then an overlap on the left from a lineout made it 5–12 before a touchline conversion stretched it to 5–14. Warlingham finished strongly with some big defensive moments, but time ran out to close the gap.
