With senior rugby being played at Hamsey Green, Warlingham since 1922 and with a flourishing Mini & Junior section, Warlingham Rugby Club's Girls Section is now into its first full season. The Wildcats played their first competitive match six months ago, one Friday evening under floodlights in April.
Their opposition was Beccahamians, formerly West Kent Divas, who have been together for some years and are one of the best teams in the South. The match was a very one-sided affair with Beccahamians scoring several tries. However the Under 18s Warlingham Wildcats showed great promise and determination, tackled well and never gave up on their mission.
On Friday 25th November, Beccahamians return to face a much improved and more experienced Warlingham Wildcats side, boasting one Surrey player, Jasmine Copp (Captain) and most of the team that faced Beccs six months ago.
