After hosting the Inaugural Girls U13 Waterfall Cup at The Mighty Warl, our U13 girls scored a win in their final match!

I am very proud of how the girls stepped up to a competitve level by the last match after some pre-competition jitters on Sunday morning!
- Phil Mamode, Head Coach, Girls Rugby

Hamsey Green played host to the First round of the inaugural U13s Girls Cup competiton. Our visitors: Sutton & Epsom; Guildfordians; Old Reigatians; Dorking and Chipstead were treated to our Warly weather microcosm of bitterly cold cross-winds, whilst the rest of the county basked in relative warmth for November.

As this was the girls first ever match, it took some getting used to, but by the final match they were getting into the action, and recorded a 35-20 victory over Guildfordians, their first ever win!

Round two follows on quickly next week at Sutton & Epsom, and the girls are really looking forward to more match play.

Warlingham Girls are always looking for new and returning players, and we now have girls at U11, U13, U15 and U18 ( covering school Years 4-13). We cater for all abilities, from beginners to county level ( Surrey U13, 15 and 18 squad players).

We now have seven players at U13 (Yr 7 &8), the minimum number for matches, but can play up to 12-a-side.

If you, or anyone you know wants to give rugby a try, then come along to a taster session. We train on Wednesdays 7-9pm, and on Sundays 10-12.

Team: Emily Bennett, Beth Davis-Riviere, Eliza Mamode, Sophie Shaw, Eleanor Cracknell, Olivia Rookard, Pippa Danielson
