Warlingham RFC1 Oct 2025 - 12:30

323km, £1,200 raised & national recognition — Emma’s epic World Cup walk wins praise from England Rugby & the Red Roses

Fantastic news reaches the club in this final update on Emma Chapman, our wandering Wildcat who has been walking to raise money for the RFU’s Injured Player Foundation.

Over the course of the World Cup Emma has walked over 323km and, thanks to generous donations from across the WRFCs club family, she’s managed to pass her second milestone target of £1k, with the current fundraiser standing at a total of £1,230!

However, just as we were about to go to print, news came to light that England Rugby had taken notice of Emma’s incredible efforts and published a glowing news article about her fundraiser right on their homepage, complete with a special message from Red Roses defence coach, Sarah Hunter!
