Friday Night Under The Lights
Last Friday the U9s traveled all the way down to Trinity RFC to take on all our local clubs. We showed our dominance from the start by entering 3 teams into the tournament.
With the bar open the mums and dads took full advantage of being able to watch their kids play for the first ever time at an acceptable drinking time.
The kids did not disappoint and showed off their rugby talents taking on teams from Chipstead, Old Whits, Purley John Fisher and Trinity.
Warly 1 showed their dominance in their group despite in one game having 3 players sent off for over exspeburant tackles. The team played heads up rugby and exploited the short side gaps. Their attacking lines were on full display and defensively the Warly Wall was virtually impregnable.
Warly 2 & 3 were in the same group and the Clash of the Titans was a game to behold. With each team knowing each other’s strengths and weaknesses. In this highly competitive game the end result was a fair one with the spoils being shared. Both teams were offloading and supporting each other brilliantly. The big hits were going in and it was the best both teams had played all season.
The kids are improving week on week and it is certainly showing on the pitch. Thank you to all the parents for giving up their Friday night and to the kids for playing so well and putting one over on all our local rivals. Sutton and Epsom Rugby Festival Report
Last weekend was the final festival before Xmas for the U7-U9s. Warly showed up in force as per normal and showed why our minis section is thriving.
U7s Festival Report
The kids have loved all the festivals so far and this one was no exception.
They continue to practice what they are being taught in training and it’s showing on the pitch every time they step out to play. The highlight being that everyone in the squad has now scored a try against an opposition team. The squad celebrated like it was Xmas showing the friendships they have built up with each other over the last few months. It was delightful to see.

Some first class tries there. Really really impressive. Very proud of them all. Great support play today. Thanks to all the parents for bringing the kids too. I saw some really great play from both teams today and the kids looked like they really enjoyed it out there.
We would like to pass on our best wishes to Coach Nick Cramp. Who couldn’t make it to the festival as he was nearly dying from the flu as he told his wife. This is more commonly known to the rest of us as a hangover from being at Twickers the day before.

After a late night on Friday for the squad. It took them the first half to wake up but when they the oppo certainly felt it. The tackling was ferocious, defensive lines were strong and it was free flowing rugby in attack which was fantastic to see. A few injuries were taken by the kids, the stories that they were going to tell their schoolmates on the Monday were amazing. True rugby players in the making
